No. This is an independent comparison guide, not a tour operator, a winery or a booking platform. We do not run any of these tours, own a vehicle or hold a seat. We compare the real, currently bookable Margaret River wine tours by price, rating, group size, which cellar doors the day reaches and what lunch and tastings are included, then send you to the operator's own listing to book. Where a tour is described, those are the listing's published details, not a day we spent on it.

Yes, entirely, and there is nothing to sign up for. We are paid only when you book a tour after clicking through, at which point the booking platform passes back a share of the commission it already earns from the operator. Your price is exactly the same as it would be arriving at that listing directly, because that share comes out of the platform's margin rather than being added to your ticket. The disclosure page sets out the full arrangement, and the comparisons work just as well as research whether or not you ever book through us.

This site compares tours and takes no bookings of its own. Every card and every button opens the operator's own listing on the platform that sells it, and the whole transaction happens there: you pick the date, you pay, and the platform issues the voucher with the pickup instructions on it. Nothing is held, charged or confirmed here. That also means the listing, not this page, is the authority on price, availability and terms at the moment you book.

The other six show their price only on the live listing, which happens when a platform serves its price inside a live booking session or localises it by country. The listings here generally state free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure for a full refund, in the platform's own wording, which is why holding a date early usually costs you nothing but a click. The booking page is the authority on the exact window for the option you pick, so read it before you commit, and inside those 24 hours the listing's own terms take over. That window is also the reason a popular tour is worth locking in as soon as your dates firm up, because the small-group days fill first in the busy months.

Autumn, roughly March to May, is the widely favoured stretch: mild days, harvest energy in the cellar doors and thinner crowds than summer. Vintage runs about February to April, whites picked first and reds later, so late summer and early autumn put you in the region while it is working. Summer, December to February, is the busiest and warmest, along with Easter, school holidays and long weekends, when the small-group tours book out earliest. Winter is the quiet, value season, with fireside tastings and some venues on shorter hours.

You can self-drive, but only with someone in your party who will not be tasting. Western Australia's full-licence blood-alcohol limit is 0.05, and it is zero for learner, provisional and other novice drivers, with no reliable way to know your own reading without testing. A cellar-door tasting flight is several 30 to 50 mL pours that add up quickly, and the region's cellar doors are spread across roughly 110 kilometres, typically 10 to 25 minutes apart on rural roads and not walkable from one to the next. A guided tour hands the driving to somebody sober and lets everyone taste. If you have a willing non-drinking driver, self-driving is a genuine option, and the guides weigh it honestly.

Most of these tours include hotel or town pickup in the price, but the point they collect from depends on the option you book. The regional tours commonly pick up around the Margaret River township, Dunsborough and Busselton, while the long day trip collects in Perth, about three to three and a half hours' drive north, and runs the region as a single big day. Your voucher names your exact pickup point and time for the date you booked, so check it rather than assuming, and arrive a few minutes early.
